Our client is the leading manufacturer of extruded plastic sheets, aluminum composite materials and lightweight foamboards. The business unit Transport & Industry serves a huge variety of industries such as: rail, marine, bus, caravan, sanitaryware, vehicle construction, agricultural vehicles, furniture construction and so on. They are able to offer their customers a unique variety of different versions of their foamboard, plastic, and composite sheet range. Their wide spread network of 11 production sites all over Europe (geographical and technological), enables them to offer their customers a solution tailor-made to their needs. Moreover, they attach particular importance to sustainable manufacturing processes and environmentally friendly materials.

Functie omschrijving - Sales Manager Benelux

Mission and Objectives:

  • Build the market and the brand in the BeNeLux.
  • Sales objectives for Transport & Industry products for all sites shall be achieved.
  • Business Development: Sales opportunities have to be recognized in order to strengthen the market position and to expand the market share.
  • Improve offering position.
  • Guarantee the best possible business relation with the distributors.

Tasks and Competencies:

  • Transfer and implementation of the overall T&I the sales strategy into the BeNeLux
  • Gain project business and follow-up (enquiries, offers, claims, etc.)
  • Gain knowledge of the market situation, competition, price trends, etc. and share the information with all relevant departments
  • Motivation and support of the business partners
  • Establish best possible relationships to OEM, converters and all other stake holders in order to secure the market share and to reach the status “preferred supplier”
  • Guarantee a high-level price quality
  • Carry out product trainings and product launches
  • Efficient organization of customer visits and on-going reporting (CRM)
  • Market presence: 4 days / week
  • Compliance with business principles such as Code of Conduct and EHS guidelines

Functie eisen - Sales Manager Benelux

Specialized knowledge and professional experience:

  • Completed commercial or technical education or studies with good understanding of sales relevant financials
  • Relevant working experience in sales (preferably as a sales representative with good technical understanding)
  • Production background, (not distribution)
  • High willingness to travel
  • Fluent business English, French, Flemish other languages e.g. Italian or Spanish preferable (… German helps)
  • Able to efficiently manage multiple stakeholders: 9 production sides all over Europe, 5 Internal Sales Teams, 5 ERP systems/processes
  • Following background helps:
    • Plastic, Thermoforming, semi-finished products such as sheet, Profiles, Rod
    • Multi Channel sales (1. Direct Sales to OEM, 2. Sales via distributor, 3. Sales via Converter
    • Specific expertise about market trends and customer requirements

Social and interdisciplinary competence:

  • Sales Hunter, growth builder
  • High customer and service orientation with advisory expertise
  • Good sense for market structures and flexibility
  • Very good communication skills, high team spirit and reliability

Arbeidsvoorwaarden - Sales Manager Benelux

Fix base salary + Bonus of around 15% depending on targets + Company Car
