The position - Senior Brand Manager

Mar Recruitment Solutions has been requested to search for a Senior Brand Manager for the Dutch organisation.

The role will be part of the Marketing department and reports to the Group Brand Manager. There are 3 categories of brands: Personal care, Home care and Oral care. The Brand Manager is responsible for one of the bigger brands. The Senior Brand Manager will play a key role in supporting the development of the overall category strategy (short & long term) and is expected to drive the growth of the assigned brand through excellent marketing execution.


Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Ensure the achievement of the brands agreed financial objectives i.e. achieve budgeted tons, nets sales, margin, operating profit as well as controlling the brands advertising & promotional spend to ensure it is in line with the budget.
  • Develop and successfully implement short and long term brand strategies and business plans
  • Identify opportunities to drive / fund the growth of the brand. Contribute to Innovation: identify new ideas, new products, product / image improvement and brand extension opportunities. Recommend alternatives to improve established way of doing things.
  • Leverage consumer and shopper insights to develop strong growth plans
  • Prepare brand briefings for media and promotional activities and evaluate their effectiveness using a variety of tools. Select advertising strategies that maximize brand appeal.
  • Coordinate the implementation of product launches.
  • Identify trade needs/opportunities, develop pricing strategies and trade promotions
  • Lead all the brand initiatives, motivating and ensuring buy-in from all the relevant internal (Commercial Team, Ops, Supply Chain, Finance, Global Business Team, Divisional team) & external partners (agencies)
  • Prepare and present regular presentations to the management team


Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch

Education: Bachelor or Master degree level

Prior experience: Our candidate has several years of Brand management experience gained in (highly competitive) FMCG markets within a commercially oriented blue-chip environment


Remuneration - Senior Brand Manager

For this position an attractive package is available containing a fixed salary part and a good percentage variable part based on individual and company performance.
